How we store your personal information

Our information is securely stored on servers located in continental Europe and the United States. For U.S. users, all data is stored in the U.S., while for EU users, data is stored in both the EU and the U.S. As per advice provided by the Information Commissioners Office, the transfer of the data between the UK and US is authorised given the adequacy regulations put in place by the UK Extension of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, of which Google is an active participant. Furthermore, Taka has in place a Standard Contractual Clauses with Google with respect to the data transfer.

We retain your personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for its intended purposes. After that, it is permanently and irretrievably destroyed, except for routine backup records, which are kept only as long as necessary for backup purposes.

Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and associated data at any time. To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings in the Taka app
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
  3. Follow the confirmation steps

Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including profile information, preferences, and activity history will be permanently erased.

After deletion, you may still see some of your data in the cached versions of our apps for up to 30 days. If you need immediate removal of specific content, please contact our support team at [email protected].
